Rules for Transferring Subscription to the New Manga Planet

The Future: Manga Planet and futekiya’s Plans for the First Half of 2023

As we announced on February 26 (Sunday), current Manga Planet and futekiya subscribers will have their subscriptions transferred to the new Manga Planet after the merger of both Libraries.

Following the merger, both Manga Planet and futekiya account holders will be able to log in with their login information.

If you’re subscribed to either Manga Planet or futekiya, your current subscription will be automatically transferred.

If you’re subscribed to both services, one subscription will be automatically transferred, while the other will be automatically cancelled and refunded depending on the status of your subscription.

The terms and conditions of the subscriptions subject to automatic cancellation and refund may be confusing, so we will explain them using a diagram.

Types of Subscriptions and Conditions for Transfer

First, there are four possible subscription statuses for Manga Planet and/or futekiya account holders:

  • You are unsubscribed.
  • You are subscribed.
  • You have an expiring subscription (i.e. you have canceled your subscription, but you still have time left).
  • You are using a Gift Code.

Please refer to the table below for all combinations of the statuses above, and the subscription that will be automatically transferred following the merger. Also, please scroll down for explanations regarding the color coding.

Refund Method

The actual refund amount will be calculated as follows:

Daily refund amount per subscription plan x remaining subscription period
Note: The amount will be rounded up to the nearest cent.

The refund will be made via Stripe for Stripe subscribers, or PayPal’s refund feature for PayPal subscribers.

For Paypal users, the refund function is not available for transactions that have been paid 180 days prior.

The Manga Planet team has confirmed that there are users who will be affected by this issue. We will contact affected users individually to discuss the refund method.

Refunds will be made within 3 months of the service merger.

Please note that some people send us questions after reading only the official tweets, and a certain number of people may ask questions about things that have already been explained in the original announcement video. We might also take some time to reply, so we ask for your patience and understanding.
