Yotsuba&! Visits Tokyo Station During Golden Week

Explore Tokyo Station with Yotsuba!

To celebrate the launch of Yotsuba&!’s 14th volume on April 28, the manga held a promotional exhibit displaying original pages from the hit series in Tokyo Station from April 30 to May 6, 2018. The exhibit featured more than 30 pages from the manga and fans and non-fans alike could read it by the JR Tokyo Station ticket transfer gates to the bullet trains.

What is Yotsuba&!

Yotsuba&!, written and illustrated by Kiyohiko Azuma, is popular manga series following the everyday life of the title character, a five-year-old girl with an insatiable curiosity, her father, Yousuke Koiwai, and her many friends and neighbors. Readers experience the world through Yotsuba’s eyes that transform even the mundane into an exciting adventure. In volume 14, Yotsuba visits Tokyo for the first time with her father. The Tokyo Station promotion captures her wonder for travelers passing through the station by showcasing pages from the manga’s latest release as well as pages from past volumes.

Yotsuba&! is both an award winning and fan-favorite manga.

First published in  March 2003 by Dengeki Daioh, the series has been translated into 13 languages in more than 24 countries and won the Grand Prize at the 20th Osamu Tezuka Culture Awards in 2016. More than 13.7 million copies are in print in Japan and 3 million outside of Japan. The last volume of Yotsuba&! hit shelves in November 2015. Volume 14 marks the first release in 29 months.
