Thanks to our friends at Anime Marui, Manga Planet had the opportunity to visit the exhibit and take a photo for all our fans!
What is Land of the Lustrous?
Land of the Lustrous is a fantasy seinen manga written and illustrated by Haruko Ichikawa. Kodansha began publishing the series in 2012. The animated series based on the manga aired from October 2017 to December 2017.
The anime and manga take place in a far-off future where Gems populate the world and fight against Moon People. These mysterious Moon People continuously attempt to turn the Gem’s bodies into ornaments. All the Gems have specific jobs assigned to them by their leader, Kongo. But, Phosphophyllite, Phos for short, has no role in their small community. One day, Kongo tasks Phos with the responsibility of making a natural history encyclopedia, a job she dislikes and avoids in search of something more interesting.

Winter wouldn’t be the same without Antarcticite. Liquid at room temperature, fans have the rare opportunity to see the gem. What part of Antarcticite could be in that vial?

If you are in Tokyo, be sure to check out this exhibit! Tickets for the exhibit are 800 yen at the door and 1800 for the ticket and concept art clear file set.
